The FRx's patented Quick Shock feature allows it to deliver a shock in as little as 8 seconds after performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. 1 Studies have found that reducing the amount of time between CPR and shock may increase survival. 2-5 First, press and hold the green On/Off button for a few seconds, which activates voice prompts and visual icons. 2. Apply the pads to the patient in the manner specified. 3. When the device prompts you to do so, press the orange Shock button.

Maintenance has been simplified.

It runs a series of automatic self-tests on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure that the pads are ready for use and to check the functionality and calibration of the circuits and systems. It can operate for up to four years without the need to replace the battery.
